Edgar Gruening Cabin - Gruening was the first territorial governor of Alaska, and he and his family lived in this cabin outside of Juneau. It is here that he wrote and fought for statehood. It was very inspiring to reflect on three weeks of travel in Alaska in the birthplace of the state.

Salmonberries and blueberries lined the trail surrounding the cabin, and were just perfect for trail snacks.
